In Ayurveda

Primary hypertension or essential hypertension is the condition of high blood pressure with no secondary cause. Blood pressure is the force exerted by blood against the artery walls as the heart pumps blood through the body. Hypertension occurs when the force exerted is stronger than normal.

The risk factors of essential hypertension are poor diet control, stress and excess weight. Most people won’t notice any symptoms. The diagnoses include blood test, cholesterol levels, echocardiogram, electrocardiogram, urine test or ultrasound test.
